Data Viz of the Week: Equity in Lending

A 2014 report from the Federal Reserve uncovered downward trends in mortgage lending to minorities, with particularly noteworthy decreases in lending to African American applicants.

With recent news reporting that several banks are involved in redlining and engaging in unfair lending practices, it’s clear that there’s work to be done to ensure lending practices are fair and equitable for all populations.
